Conditions

Conditions we manage

Internal medicine is built for exactly this: adults living with one or more long-term conditions that interact with each other.

Diabetes

Diabetes is managed in hundreds of small decisions between visits. Our job is to make those decisions easier and to catch drift early.

High Blood Pressure

High blood pressure has no symptoms until it has already done damage. That is exactly why it belongs with a practice that tracks it over years.

Thyroid Disease

Fatigue, weight change, and feeling off are common complaints with many causes. Thyroid disease is one of the ones worth ruling in or out properly.

COPD & Asthma

Breathing problems get normalized. Patients tell us they have "just slowed down," and then we find out how much of that is treatable.

Acne

Adult acne is common, treatable, and routinely dismissed. It is worth an actual visit rather than another shelf of products.

High Cholesterol

Cholesterol is not a number to be embarrassed about. It is one input into a risk calculation, and that calculation is what actually matters.

Chronic Kidney Disease

Kidney disease is usually found on a blood test, not because you felt it. Caught early, a great deal can be done to slow it down.

Joint & Back Pain

Most joint and back pain does not need a specialist, an MRI, or surgery. It needs an accurate diagnosis and a plan someone follows up on.

Insomnia

Chronic poor sleep is not a personality trait or a moral failing. It is a treatable medical problem, and it is usually treatable without a lifetime of sleeping pills.

Depression & Anxiety

Most mental health care in this country happens in a primary care office. That is not a workaround. It is often the right place for it, with someone who already knows you.

This is not an exhaustive list. We manage the full range of adult medical conditions. If you do not see yours, call or text us at (256) 715-9598 and ask.
