This policy explains how imclinic.org handles information. It covers this website only. How we handle your medical records is described separately in our Notice of Privacy Practices.

We do not collect health information on this website

This site has no patient forms, symptom checkers, or chat widgets. We deliberately keep protected health information off it. Registration, appointment requests, secure messaging, and bill payment all take place inside the athenahealth patient portal, which is built for that purpose.

What this site does collect

• Standard server logs. Our hosting provider records ordinary technical data such as approximate location, browser type, and pages requested, to keep the site running and secure.
• Website analytics. We use Google Analytics to understand how people find and move through this site: which pages are visited, roughly where visitors are located, and which links are used. This helps us see what patients are looking for and fix what is hard to find.

Google Analytics sets cookies and collects an abbreviated version of your IP address. We have turned off Google Signals and advertising personalization, so this data is not used to build an advertising profile of you or to follow you across other websites. We do not use advertising pixels or social media trackers.

You can opt out of Google Analytics entirely by installing Google's browser opt-out add-on, or by using your browser's privacy settings to block analytics cookies. Nothing on this site requires them.

Analytics never sees your health information, because this site does not collect any. Everything involving your care, including registration, messaging, scheduling, results, and bill pay, happens inside the athenahealth patient portal, which is a separate system governed by our Notice of Privacy Practices.

Email

If you email us at our published address, we receive whatever you send. Email is not a secure channel, so please do not send health information by email. Use the patient portal or call the office instead.

Links to other sites

This site links to services we use, including the athenahealth patient portal, our online registration form, app stores, and Google Maps. Once you follow those links, the privacy policy of that service applies, not ours.

Children

IM Clinic is an adult internal medicine practice. This website is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

We may update this policy as the site changes. The date above reflects the current version.
