The Internal Medicine Clinic (IM Clinic) was established in 2018 by Dr. Omer Iqbal. Dr. Iqbal grew up in Scottsboro, Alabama and is passionate about establishing long lasting relationships with his patients. His primary focus is on the health and well-being of each individual through care, compassion, and personalized medical care.
Dr Iqbal graduated from Scottsboro High School in 2006. He went on to complete his bachelors of science from UAB in 2009. Thereafter, he enrolled in the UAB School of Public Health obtaining a Masters in Public Health (MPH) degree in 2011. His area of interest and degree focus was in Health Behavior and Global Health. He matriculated to medical school and graduated from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine Georgia Campus in 2015. Finally, he completed his post-graduate medical training in internal medicine through the UAB Internal Medicine Residency Program – Huntsville Regional Medical Campus in 2018.
Dr. Iqbal is a Diplomate of the American Board of Internal Medicine. He also maintains his affiliate priveleges at Huntsville Hospital.
A Physician Assistant is a highly qualified and licensed member of the healthcare team that can diagnose and treat patients, order and interpret labs, prescribe medications and more. A PA is educated at the Master’s degree level. After completion of a Physician Assistant program, they undergo board certification and licensure from the state medical board. PAs help give you more access to high-quality care!
Catherine Adams grew up in Dickson, Tennessee just outside of Nashville. She completed her undergraduate studies at Tennessee Technological University in Cookeville, TN where she graduated with honors in 2017. She then attended Trevecca Nazarene University in Nashville, TN earning a master’s degree in Medicine and Physician Assistant studies in 2020. She is board certified by NCCPA and fully licensed in the state of Alabama.
Catherine is passionate about people, healthcare, and serving others. She became a physician assistant because she loves what a PA can contribute to a healthcare team- greater access to high quality compassionate care. Her priority is to help individuals achieve the highest quality of life available to them. Catherine strives to conduct herself with an attitude of service towards others. Her goal is to serve patients by helping them to live healthy and enjoyable lives.
