Omer Iqbal, DO

Background

The Internal Medicine Clinic (IM Clinic) was established in 2018 by Dr. Omer Iqbal. Dr. Iqbal grew up in Scottsboro, Alabama and is passionate about establishing long lasting relationships with his patients. His primary focus is on the health and well-being of each individual through care, compassion, and personalized medical care.

Dr Iqbal graduated from Scottsboro High School in 2006. He went on to complete his bachelors of science from UAB in 2009. Thereafter, he enrolled in the UAB School of Public Health obtaining a Masters in Public Health (MPH) degree in 2011. His area of interest and degree focus was in Health Behavior and Global Health. He matriculated to medical school and graduated from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine Georgia Campus in 2015. Finally, he completed his post-graduate medical training in internal medicine through the UAB Internal Medicine Residency Program, Huntsville Regional Medical Campus in 2018.

Dr. Iqbal is a Diplomate of the American Board of Internal Medicine and a Fellow of American College of Physicians. He also maintains his affiliate priveleges at Huntsville Hospital.
